Martin Luther King, Jr. was the leader of the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s, a minister who organized peaceful protests against racial discrimination and the laws that separated people by race. He fought for civil rights and worked for equality for all Americans. In 1963 he led the March on Washington and gave the "I Have a Dream" speech, in which he hoped people would be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, the words the official list quotes. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 and was assassinated in 1968; the third Monday of January is a national holiday in his honor. Name any one of the three answers.
