Why this is the answer
The Chief Justice of the United States is one of the nine justices and leads the Supreme Court: choosing which cases to hear together with the other justices, running the courtroom during arguments and leading the discussion of each case. The Chief Justice does not outvote anyone, though; each justice has one vote. Because the office is held for life, the name changes rarely, but it does change, so USCIS keeps the current one on its test updates page, and the Supreme Court's own website lists the justices.
