Why this is the answer

The Constitution did not appear from nothing. The Articles of Confederation were the country's first framework of government; the delegates who met in Philadelphia in 1787 had been sent to fix them and decided to write a stronger document instead. The Declaration of Independence supplied the principles. Once the Constitution was written, the Federalist Papers argued for ratifying it, and the objection that it had no list of rights is what led to the Bill of Rights. The official list also accepts the Anti-Federalist Papers, the Virginia Declaration of Rights, the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, the Mayflower Compact and the Iroquois Great Law of Peace.
