Why this is the answer
The Constitution creates three branches, and the first three articles create them in order. Article I sets up the legislative branch, which is Congress, and gives it the power to make laws. Article II sets up the executive branch, which enforces the laws Congress passes and is headed by the President. Article III sets up the judicial branch, which places the highest judicial power in the Supreme Court and decides whether laws and government actions follow the Constitution. That is why six different answers are accepted: each branch can be named either by its institution or by its adjective.
