What is freedom of religion?

Why this is the answer

Freedom of religion means you may practice any religion you choose, or none at all, and the government stays out of the decision. The First Amendment does two things at once: it forbids Congress from setting up an official national religion, and it protects your right to hold any belief or no belief. Both halves matter, and the second is the one people forget. The protection has deep roots here. Colonists arrived from countries whose rulers told them which church to attend and how to worship, and religious freedom was one of the reasons they came.
